Improvement works

From time to time, often at weekends or public holidays, Gatwick Express has to make alterations to train services, usually for planned Improvement works.

Disruption to Southern and Gatwick Express services caused by Storm Doris

Trains across the Southern network are no longer affected by Storm Doris.

Disruption between Balham and Norwood Junction

Trains are now able to run as normal between Balham and Norwood Junction following earlier engineering works not being finished on time.

Amended Gatwick Express service Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 March

Network Rail are carrying out engineering work between Purley and Earlswood, closing some lines.

Customer Advice:

A half hourly Gatwick Express service will operate.

Saturday

Trains will depart London Victoria on the hour and 30 minutes past.

Trains will depart Gatwick Airport at 15 minutes and 45 minutes past the hour.

Sunday

Trains will depart London Victoria on the hour and 30 minutes past.

Trains will depart Gatwick Airport at 20 minutes and 50 minutes past the hour.

Amended Gatwick Express service on Sunday 12 March

Network Rail are carrying out engineering work between Purley and Earlswood, closing some lines.

Customer Advice:

Until 06:30 buses replace trains throughout.

After 06:30 a half hourly service will run as follows:-

London Victoria to Gatwick Airport will depart at 00 and 30 past the hour.

Gatwick Airport to London Victoria will depart at 20 and 50 past the hour.

Network Rail is carrying out engineering work between London Victoria and Balham closing all lines.

No trains will run from or to London Victoria.

Customer Advice

No trains will run. Customers should use Southern trains between London Bridge and Gatwick Express. Overnight trains are replaced by buses between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.
